November

Hi everyone,

I forgot my promised to write everyday. I was actually very busy these last few days. I had a group meeting for my uni's project, I did some groceries, I went to uni from monday to friday (hectic schedule), went to my friend's bday bash, did some meal-prep and also visited my hostparent's house to teach them how to make soup and also had some dinner there.

This is baked salmon made by my host mother. We really had a lovely time :) The last time I've seen her was a month ago, so I really happy to meet her.

This is my meal-prep for these week. I finished all of the food by last Thursday and i feel very grateful to do this prepping things, because it is really save my time.

I also cooked No Pastry Vegetables Quiche that I got the recipe from Vegetarian Nosh for Students book, although i kind of changed the recipe a bit. It was quite easy to make this no pastry quiche and you don't need a lot of ingredients. I want to share the recipe here but i dont think I have the copyright. I also managed to read some new cooking books :

I really adore Ella Woodward, I've open her website quite often to get some inspiration or just to look at her new recipes. She is a true food master. Most of her recipe are 100 natural, plant-based, dairy- free and gluten-free.

I knew Madeleine Shaw from my host mother. My host mother is a healthy person. She eat very healthy (clean-eating) and do a lot of exercises; Yoga, Running, Cycling. When I met my host mother for soap-making, she told me about Madeleine Shaw and her Instagram account. I haven't started to read her book but I think I will like her too as much as I adore Ella :)

2015 Uh Oh

Hi everyone and Hello Future-me.

It has been one year since the last time I posted something here.
I might be busy, but I actually had promised my self to write something everyday at least one sentence or 2 sentences and it is 2015 already haha. It is so funny that i always forget to write my blog or journal. I do need to start from beginning again, scratch, fresh.

I know it is not the beginning of the year, but maybe this is a new start for me to write and to gain this skill back ( Bonus : improving my English, I feel that I'm stuck with my writing and speaking skills although right now i'm living in UK haha)

Talking about a new start, I finally have the courage to change my blog URL!! Say hello to yosephinepheby.blogspot.com

For the time being, to give a reminder to myself, I will write the things/ topics that will be on my future posts :

- Travel (Definitely!! I'm bad at recalling my travel journey. Need to write it here so I have an online journal that I can look up to)

- Food ( I'm going to start my diet next month. So I will post some recipes and food products to keep myself inspired)

- Uni ( Haha of course, this topic might be a bit boring,  but I have Monday-Friday classes everyday for this first semester, so why not? )

- Life ( Living alone, Living abroad, Friends, what else...?)

- Osho ( I'm a big fans of him. I will post some quotes from him and maybe post a review about his book)

- Pilates ( My everyday sport -- is Pilates even a sport?)

- And many random topics to come

To conclude my very cool first blog-post in 2015!! (It is even near the end of 2015 haha) I will give you and my future-self some update:

Currently living alone again abroad. I'm taking my master's in this small but compact city, Newcastle Upon Tyne for a year to come. I'VE HAD MY HAIRCUT AGAIN!!!! (you can see it on my pict above)

I'm going to start my diet next week and planning to be a vegetarian maybe on the mid of next year. Will be 22 on the beginning of next year and I'm so excited.
Today I have one class but I feel so tired, I didn't have enough sleep yesterday (thanks to you, insomnia) and I went for Pizza with my lovely friend from Cyprus. Hoammm I'm so Sleepy, going to sign off from online activities for today! See you !

January 2014

Hi everyone,

It's been a year since i wrote here. Life so far so good for me although there were some unproductive and negative days that hmmm with some effort i can make it lively. Some update from me :

(Back in Indonesia already, turning 20 on the 8th this month and currently in my last semester at uni.)  Time goes by so fast, I remembered when I'm still in the first semester, trying to cope and adapt with the changes... but right now here i am in my last semester, stressing and thinking about thesis topic and examination(s).

Since I'm taking a finance major, i should take topic(s) that related to finance. But until now, i still don't get the big main idea of what topic(s) that i should take and research. Actually i did submit my thesis proposal last friday with topic that actually seems not good and comfortable enough for me. I hope that I could change the topic next month on the revision day.

(Heart) Love is the greatest thing? not always.

(Health) Like usual, my monthly sickness (Cold, Flu, Headache) won't go away.

Greetings from Frankfurt

Hello, greetings from Frankfurt, Germany.
I've been here for 1 month and 20 days. It's freezing cold and the snow won't stop but hopefully next Saturday is spring. Deutschland ist SUPER! although I'm tend to get bored because I don't have anything to do during the internship time. It's not very different as the internship time back then in Jakarta ; sitting in front of the desk, browsing, finding something to do. But actually it's still less than a month and I think along time, I'll know what my tasks and works are. I did ask my supervisors for tasks, and she did already gave me tasks, however the tasks can be done in less than an hour and I'm stayed at the office for almost 7 hours per day. And my supervisors always said that i'm fleissig and schnell every time i finish the tasks.
But however (and) after all, I'm very glad to get accepted here and I'm glad to know Jan (thank you so much Jan), because until now lots of my friend still haven't got a job. :(

Okay back to my story....

My routine starts with waking up at 6 or 6.30 am, taking bath and preparing breakfast then eat and walk to the bahnhof (train station), arrived at bahnhof neat the office, taking bus from the bahnhof to the busstop near the office then walk for approximately 5-7 minutes and arrived at the office :)
After that I will be sitting on my desk, asking my supervisors for tasks, go back to my desk and spend the almost 7-8 hours doing task or writting or BROWSING. At the middle of the day, i'll eat lunch at the canteen usually with my supervisors and other colleagues. The foods taste good sometimes but the portion is very big. Indonesian foods are still the best.

At last, I'll be coming home around 4 or 4.30 in the evening. Go back home, cooking dinner and spend my 'me' time ; reading, watching DVD, meditating or writing and also call bf :P

I should really improving my German skills. I think my deutsch is very bad. I just know a bit of what my colleagues are talking during the lunch break.. so saaaadd *sigh

OKAAAYYYYY thanks for reading and visiting my blog. I'll write more update soon. Have fun peopleeee :*

It is not forcing existence your way, it is relaxing into the way existence wants you to be.

REMBIHNÚTUR  (sigur rós)

I really love this video, and of course;  Sigur rós
Meditation is somehow take a great part in life, for me and maybe for some of you.
And i really can't wait to see sigur rós live in Singapore on November 23rd.

director’s comments

“the elevation of your consciousness helps the overall consciousness of the planet.” -gourasana.

The much needed changes in the world will happen through changes within each and every one of us. We all want and need love. this film is a celebration of sigur rós’s music and the benefit it is having in the elevation of consciousness that is happening with humankind. people are finding strength in love, care, and respect for themselves, each other, and the world we live in.

for the last twelve years meditation has been a way of life for us. going within, releasing emotions, moving through negativity, judgment, discouragement, and the fears that are so often in the mind.
being able to move from the mind into the heart. this is what the music of sigur rós helps us to do and we use it as a tool in our meditation. in meditation we are able to feel and move through our emotions allowing us to drop deeper within our hearts. from this depth of heart we are finding more acceptance, compassion, love, gratitude, passion, clarity, intuitive thinking and much much more. we hope this video will inspire you to do your part in elevating the consciousness of the planet in whatever way that may be.

peace and love, arni & kinski
